Welcome back to Term Three

Welcome back to Term three!
COME AND VISIT US THIS FRIDAY AFTERNOON FOR A SHARED LUNCH!
WE WILL BE SHARING THE LEARNING WE HAVE BEEN DOING ABOUT CLYDE SCHOOL'S HISTORY. I WILL SEND OUT A NOTICE ABOUT THIS ON MONDAY.

Goals for Term 3
Well the first week is in the books and it's been great to work with all the kids again. We have assessed our goals from term two. It's been great to see so many of the children reach their goals from last term, especially related to their times tables!
We have written up our new ones for term three. The children seem very motivated to improve their weaker areas and they finished writing them up 5 times quicker than last term!!! Great job kids! We keep their goals on the inside of their desk lids - you can see them when you visit us on Friday.

Homework
It has been awesome to see kids who needed a gee up with their homework habits come back to school so motivated to improve. Often they need support with a time and place to do their homework, and help of course from you if they get stuck, especially with their reading.
Thank you for your help with this. The children building up their times tables and reading skills at home is vitally important. Pupils need to fill out their reading log EACH NIGHT. Currently some kids often fill them out at the end of the week when they can't remember dates, details of what they've read, and what happened. Their reading needs to be meaningful! They should be filling out their log each night after they've read.

Spirit of Clyde
Lots of kids a re doing a great job with their Spirit of Clyde activities - we're halfway through the year so hopefully you're well on track to completeing your tasks! Keep up the great work!

I love the way you have included information about goals, homework and the Spirit of Clyde. The blog is a great place to come back to, to check up on these things.

  3. Thanks Wendy - it was kind of a sad video to watch. Hopefully our art will show you what things used to be like! ;-)
